Behind the studio
Alec is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute with 6 years of industry experience. He completed his Landscape Architectural education at the University of Greenwich and the Bartlett School of Architecture and received awards from both schools, recognising his capabilities in design and theory. Between 2024 and 2025, he was an active member of the Landscape Institute’s South West Branch Committee.
Alec has a particular interest in the conservation of historic gardens and landscapes, but has developed a breadth of experience across several sectors during his practise. He has worked on designs for some of England’s most renowned parks and gardens, including The Royal Parks in London and Stourhead in Wiltshire. Alec was also involved in the proposed expansion of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, a scheme that recently won a Landscape Institute Award, and played a significant part in the early stages of the redesign of The Hill.
Most recently, he has been working for an internationally renowned Garden Design practice, designing gardens for private clients.
Now, having established his own eponymous landscape and garden design studio, he is working on a mix of domestic and commercial projects across the UK and Channel Islands.
Get in touch
Should you wish to discuss a potential project, the first step is a conversation. I offer a free, no-obligation site visit to understand your goals, assess the site, and offer honest, practical advice on what’s possible.
Following the visit, I’ll provide a tailored fee proposal outlining the design stages, expected timescales, and how the process works from start to finish. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and make sure the approach feels right before moving forward.
To organise an initial consultation, please complete the form and I will be in touch shortly.
